Your age isn't
the whole story.

Lifespan is how many years you get. Healthspan is how many of them you spend strong, mobile and capable. Your Functional Age shows which way you're trending.

Some people test years younger than the date on their license. Others find years hiding in one or two areas. Either way, it's a number you can change. Train with intent and it drops, which turns "getting in shape" into progress you can actually see.

Illustrative. Your real numbers come from the ten stations on event day.

Every station
earns its place.

We didn't invent these tests. Each one comes from large, long-running studies where that measure independently predicted how long and how well people lived.

39%

Lower all-cause mortality in adults with top-third maximal strength vs. the bottom third, independent of cardio fitness.

Ruiz et al., BMJ 2008, 8,762 adults

13 to 15%

Lower mortality for every one-MET gain in cardiorespiratory fitness, the strongest predictor in the battery.

Mandsager, JAMA 2018; Kokkinos, JACC 2022

5.0×

Higher cardiovascular mortality for adults scoring poorly on the sitting-rising test, one move that captures strength, balance, flexibility and composition.

Araujo et al., Eur J Prev Cardiol 2025

Grip strength outpredicts blood pressure for mortality risk. Lower-body power outperforms raw strength as a predictor in middle and older age. The Challenge brings these signals together into one picture of how your body is aging.

Ten stations.
One complete picture.

Each station is a quick, coachable test you move through in a small group. Every one can be scaled to where you are today.

1

Body composition

InBody scan for skeletal muscle mass and body fat, the baseline for everything else.

Muscle protects, fat predicts risk

2

Sitting-rising test

Getting to the floor and back up with minimal support. Four fitness qualities in one move.

Whole-body longevity marker

3

Single-leg stance

How long you hold balance on one leg. Simple, revealing and trainable.

Control that keeps you moving freely

4

Grip strength

Maximal handgrip force, a proxy for total-body strength.

Stronger predictor than blood pressure

5

Deadlift strength

Posterior-chain strength, the engine behind lifting, carrying and staying independent.

Lower-body and back strength

6

Overhead press strength

Standing upper-body pressing with no leg drive. Honest pushing strength.

Upper-body force

7

Max push-ups

Upper-body muscular endurance, or how long your pushing strength lasts.

Staying power

8

Pull-ups or dead hang

Pulling strength, endurance and grip, relative to your own bodyweight.

Upper-body pulling capacity

9

VO2 max: run or row

A max-effort mile run or 2K row to estimate cardiorespiratory fitness.

Your daily energy and endurance engine

10

Vertical or broad jump

Explosive lower-body power, the speed side of strength.

Power outpredicts strength later in life

One morning.
A clear starting line.

Most people guess at their fitness for years. For less than the cost of a few drop-in classes, you get a full 10-station assessment, a body composition scan and a coach who walks you through what it all means.

A fitness assessment, not a medical test

The Healthspan Challenge measures physical performance. It doesn't diagnose, screen for or treat any medical condition, and your Functional Age is a fitness benchmark, not a medical result. It isn't a substitute for care from your doctor.

If you have a health condition or injury, or haven't exercised in a while, check with your doctor before taking part. Every station can be scaled, and our coaches will adjust anything that isn't right for you on the day.
