For Andrew, Primedy Health has been a long time coming. Rooted in his 16 years of Shotokan Karate, Andrew developed a deep understanding and appreciation for the body’s motor mechanics, the skills to teach proper movement patterns, and the difference a strong mentor can make. Inspired by the authenticity of his instructor, Andrew decided to make physiology his field of study, graduating from Virginia Tech in 2009. Pivoting from Physical Therapy training to a career in Personal Training over a decade ago, Andrew developed a keen eye for aligning exercise and lifestyle habits with his clients’ end goals. Leading a Type 1 diabetic’s journey to needing less insulin, an 82-year old’s journey to deadlifting over 100 lbs, and a middle age woman’s journey to reversing osteopenia made him realize that transformative power we all have to improving our health.
Andrew next ventured into gym management, co-owning and operating a CrossFit gym in Bethesda and then Rockville, MD. This is where Andrew learned the power of community when it came to fitness. Three kids and COVID later, Andrew and his family moved to Mount Airy, MD, where he is excited to employ all the skills and knowledge he’s honed over the last 30 years in a project of his own making focused on helping his local and online community actualize their best health and performance. Andrew’s coaching philosophy is about empowering everyone to reach their full potential through a balanced approach that harmonizes movement, nutrition, and mental health. By fostering a supportive community and emphasizing holistic development, he aims to cultivate not only stronger but also healthier, more resilient individuals. Together, we will challenge limits, celebrate progress, and embrace the journey of lifelong fitness.
When he’s not in the gym, Andrew is wrangling his three sons, working on their aspiring homestead, or relishing what little down-time he can find!
At Primedy, Elisabeth brings her analytical mind to exercise and wellness. A near-obsessive puzzler, she is committed to digging in to root causes and identifying compatible solutions. Her journey in health began after college when she decided to figure out why she had developed certain ailments doctors said required medicine forever that treated only the symptoms and surgical removal of her gall bladder because “it wasn’t working properly.” In her pursuit of answers, Elisabeth learned nutritional counseling would have addressed all these issues and could have avoided surgery. It’s for this reason, she is passionate about understanding why disease appears and how our everyday choices can positively or negatively impact our health. Now medicine free, Elisabeth is dedicated to teaching others how they too can take control of their health.
Elisabeth believes in fostering a supportive community where every member feels valued and challenged, regardless of their fitness level. Her coaching philosophy combines mindset re-programming, technique mastery, and a focus on nutrition to help clients achieve their goals. Elisabeth started CrossFit in 2014, and after a hiatus while having her 3 kids, completed her Level 1 Trainer certificate. But rather than sticking to only one sport, Elisabeth is focused on learning what works across the styles of fitness and how their components–plus mind and nutrition–can empower members to reach their highest potential.
When she’s not coaching, Elisabeth is doing activities with her family, investing in her personal and professional development, amateur gardening, and experimenting with healthy recipes in the kitchen. She’s dedicated to making great health accessible and fun, motivating everyone to unleash their best self for their life’s work.
As a former college soccer athlete, Lexi discovered the power of discipline, teamwork, and physical fitness early in life—lessons that ignited her passion for health and wellness. With a degree in psychology, Lexi gained a deep insight into mental well-being and motivation, which she’s woven into her current role as a preschool teacher over the past three years.
Working with young children is not just a job for her; it’s a joy that lets her nurture their natural curiosity while incorporating fun physical activities into their daily routines. Lexi’s goal is to inspire them to embrace fitness from a young age, helping them develop healthy habits that last a lifetime.
Lexi’s journey intertwines her love for sports, mental health, and education, fueling her commitment to creating an inclusive health club environment where individuals of all ages can thrive both physically and mentally. She believes that everyone deserves the chance to feel empowered and supported on their wellness journey, and she’s excited to be part of that transformative experience!
